Many home maintenance repairs are really quite simple to DIY. YouTube is a wonderful resource when it comes to teaching yourself how to fix just about anything.
Recently, my husband took to YouTube to learn how to unclog our dishwasher. After watching a couple of videos he was able to take apart the necessary parts, unclog the dishwasher and get it running as good as new. Most importantly, he saved us the cost of an expensive dishwasher repair service.
General household repairs however, require that you’re equipped with the right tools and gadgets to be able to properly fix whatever issue you’re dealing with. A good quality drill is a must because it has so many amazing uses. Although not necessary, a cordless drill is ideal because it allows you to move around without tripping over wires or worrying about extension cords.

It offers up easy to read measurements which is great for people who aren’t good at math like me. Some measuring tapes don’t offer measurements in fractions which can make reading exact measurement problematic if you’re uncomfortable with inches. This measuring tape makes getting an exact measure easy because it offers measurements in inches as well as fractions.
It’s important to have a good utility knife because they are good to cut thick cardboard, drywall, rope and any other material that traditional knives or scissors can’t handle.
For projects where there is limited lighting and that require the use of both hands this headlight is a perfect tool. So, having extras is always handy because you can avoid running out and buying screws and bolts on the fly.
