Whether you’re looking to increase your monthly income to pay off some consumer debt or looking to pad your savings account, side hustles are absolutely the way to go!

When I was in university I always made a little extra with side hustles. Side hustles  great because they’re flexible, add variety to your life and give you a little extra cash flow.

My go-to side hustles always revolved around education.

I’m pretty good with numbers and my university training is in education so I ended building a pretty consistent flow of tutoring gigs as my main form of side hustles.

I tutored young kids, high schoolers and even some older students in college and university.

The schedule was always super flexible allowing me to work in the evening and on weekends which was super convenient with my own class schedule and lifestyle.

Beyond this I’ve earned a little extra selling stuff online and now blogging which has become my main side hustle and full-time job.

50 Side Hustles To Make Extra Money

#1 Start a blog and monetize it!

Blogging is a great way to make extra money every month. My blog This Tiny Blue House was created in January 2017 and now earns me thousands of dollars every month. In early 2019, my husband quit his job to work with me on the blog and we couldn’t be happier. Blogging is one of those side hustles that can go from something part-time to full-time with a little persistence and dedication.

Blogging has given us the freedom to live the lifestyle we want. It allows us to work from home on our own schedule, be more present in our daughters life and spend more free time doing the things we love most. And, we couldn’t be happier doing it. Blogging has changed our lives in so many positive ways.

I have tried to sell items my children have outgrown online. Never works. I think perhaps it just because of my location and the number of other people selling the same baby items and children clothing. But I hope it works well for others.

I am also primarily an education worker, especially since just getting my EdD in educational technology and e-learning! My specialty is English Language Arts, though, NOT math!
