With two options to choose from, this free day at the beach printable can be easily adapted for younger and older kids.

If your child reads fluently you should use the difficult version. So, in addition to promoting numeracy, sorting and coloring your child is also encouraged to read.

And, the easy version is best for younger kids who are not reading yet. The easy version includes an easy color coding grid for kids who are not reading yet.

Required Supplies

This count and color activity requires very little in the way of supplies.

But, we do highly suggest a color printer so that the color coding comes through on the easy version.

In addition, a good set of markers or crayons with a variety of colors are needed for kids to color the activity.
