Craft Supplies
You’ll need very simple craft supplies to make Hanukkah Menorah craft. Here’s what you’ll need to make your own DIY Menorah.
- Menorrah craft template – to download the free printable template you’ll need to make this Hanukah craft you’ll have to scroll to the very bottom of this post.
- Printer and white card stock paper – we recommend 65 lb Astrobrite
- Washable markers, metallic markers, crayons or coloring pencils
- Scissors – if you are crafting with really young children we suggest using safety scissors with a blunt tip.
- Glue stick
Instructions
Step 1: Print a copy of our Menorah craft template.

Step 2: Have children color the different parts of their Menorah craft using crayons, wax crayons or coloring pencils.
We used washable Crayola markers but pencil crayons or wax crayons are fine too. Encourage children to be creative while they color.
You can even use a black marker to make your candles striped!
Step 3: Cut out the different parts of your Menorah craft template. Older children should be able to do this step themselves.
But, if you these Hanukkah crafts with young students in preschool, kindergarten or 1st grade you may have to help a little bit with cutting out the small parts of their Menorah craft template.
Step 4: Using a small amount of glue, stick the bottom part of the Menorah to the top.
Step 5: Assemble your candles by gluing the flame to the top of each candle. Keep in mind that the Shamash or helper candle is the longest candle on the template.
Step 6: Start gluing your candles to your Menorah. We started by gluing the Shamash to the center and then worked our way outwards by gluing 4 candles on either side.
