Scaling The Level Of Difficulty Of This Four Season Memory Game
This memory game’s difficulty can easily be scaled up or down depending on the age and needs of each individual child.
For toddlers and younger kids, you can simply ask them to match similar items from one game card at a time. So, place mixed cards face up one season at a time and ask your toddler to make visual matches only.
For preschoolers, you can start by mixing up one season at a time and placing the squares face down. From there, ask your preschooler to flip one card at a time and attempt to remember where to find its match.
And, for older children or preschoolers who have mastered playing this memory game you can easily scale up the difficulty by mixing the seasons together. You can start by mixing 2 seasons and then work your way up to three and then four.
Finally, you can add the extra element of grouping items based on season once all matches are made. This final element of difficulty encourages kids to categorize and group items and objects based on which season each item or object belongs to.
Supplies You’ll Need
This memory game requires very little in the way of supplies and materials.
You can easily print this four season memory game on paper, cut out the squares and start playing immediately.
But, we highly suggest you print the four season memory matching game on paper, use a good quality glue to glue it to a sturdy piece of card stock and laminate the sheets to make them durable and waterproof. This way you can play this four season matching game over and over again.
