When it comes to meal planning I always try to incorporate a few meatless meals into our weekly plan.
Meatless meals are not only great for the budget because meat can get expensive. But they’re also an awesome and easy way to get in some extra veggies and pack some meals with extra nutrients and vitamins.
Meatless meals seem to get a bad wrap don’t they?
Most people who are strictly meat and potato folks seem to feel that meatless meals can’t be satisfying enough or bulky enough to be served as a meal and so they shy away from switching things up in their meal plan.
I’m here to tell you folks that there are a ton of insanely delicious, easy to make and filling meatless meals out there that wont cost you a fortune to make and will happily feed your family both adults and kiddos alike!
A few frugal tips to make meatless meals even more budget friendly
Always peruse your reduced to sell section of the grocery store first.
You can score some awesome deals that can make these meals even cheaper to put together.
Sub out fresh for frozen!
In most cases (save perhaps a stir fry) you really can’t tell the difference.
If you’re missing an ingredient or two don’t sweat it!
run out and buy ingredients you’ll only use once! Use what you have and make it work!

Wow, these are fantastic. This is a very very helpful post… most plant based budget meals are somewhat boring. You’ve compiled an incredible assortment. I’m meal planning today for the month so I need to add these in! Thanks!!

What a fantastic list! Thank you. We’re trying to eat a bit less meat/chicken in our house so this is perfect.
This couldn’t have come at a better time – Ive Started eating more plant based and I’m always looking for ways to save money as a grad student. Delicious roundup!
I’m so excited about this list! Thanks so much for sharing!
These sound delicious. I’m trying really hard to convince my boyfriend that meat isn’t a necessity in every meal. Don’t get me wrong, I LOOOOOVVVVE meat, but I can go a couple days without it and still survive lol! He is a meat cutter though, so that kind of directs his thought process
Thank you for sharing. I am going to try these recipes especially since we are on a budget:-)
