Supplies
- Ritz crackers – any type of round butter type cracker would work
- Mini pretzel twists
- Small candy eyes
- Chocolate chips – you can use dark or white chocolate chips
- Peanut butter – we’ve also made these with almond butter and they are equally delicious
- Red candy – we used fruity Tic Tacs for this, but you could also use M&Ms
- Plastic knife and small container
- Cookie sheet
- Parchment paper
Instructions
Step 1: Fill a small container with peanut butter.
Prefer not to use peanut butter? You can also use almond butter, cashew butter, sunflower butter or wow butter to make these Ritz cracker cookies.
Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on each cracker.
Repeat this step for the desired number of reindeer that you want to make.
We used a little less than a tablespoon of peanut butter per cookie.
Step 2: Add two candy eyes to the center of the cracker on top of the peanut butter to create your reindeer face.
Add the chocolate chip (or red M&M or candy) for a nose.
Then, add two pretzel twists at the top for each antler. Repeat this step to complete the desired amount of Ritz cookies you need.
* To keep things tidy we like to put our Ritz cracker Christmas cookies on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper or parchment paper. This makes clean up quick and easy.
** Make a double batch because Ritz reindeer treats go fast. You can’t eat just one.
** Store any leftover in an airtight container at room temperature.
