Father’s Day Grill Card

Handprint crafts are always a blast to make—and this clever Father’s Day grill card is no exception!

Using cardstock, kids trace their hands to create the fiery flames for this fun and meaningful keepsake.

Open it up, and Dad will be greeted with warm wishes for a Happy Father’s Day inside! So cute!

Supplies

• Grill Card Template – Download the printable PDF at the bottom of this post (includes 3 pages).
• Cardstock – 1 sheet of black cardstock for the base, and 2 sheets of white cardstock for printing the template.
• Construction Paper – Red, orange, and yellow sheets for the handprint flames.
• Pencil – For tracing handprints.
• Markers, Colored Pencils, or Crayons – To color in the grill accessories.
• Scissors – For cutting out the template and handprints.
• Glue – To assemble the card.

Instructions

Print & Color

• Print the grill card template on cardstock.
  • Print Page 1 on black cardstock.
  • Print Pages 2 and 3 on white cardstock.
• Use markers, crayons, or colored pencils to color the grill legs and spatula.

Build The Grill

• Carefully cut out the black circle from Page 1 and the “Happy Father’s Day” circle from Page 2.
• Glue the “Happy Father’s Day” circle onto the center of the black circle to create the inside of the card.
• Fold the black circle in half to form the grill.
• Glue the grill legs to the bottom of the folded card.

Create Handprint Flames

• Trace the child’s hand onto red, orange, and yellow construction paper.
• Cut out each handprint.
• Glue the handprints to the back side of the grill so they look like flames rising from inside.

Finish The Craft

• Glue the #1 Dad spatula to the front of the card.
• Optional: Write a heartfelt message to Dad inside the card!
