Our father’s day tie card was created to be printed on standard size 8.5 x 11 paper. For best results we suggest printing on nice paper like cardstock to make the tie more sturdy.

Making A Father’s Day Tie Card

Step 1: Print a copy of our father’s day tie card

Step 2: Have children color their tie including the top of the tie and the bottom using their choice of wax crayons, markers or colored pencils.

Step 3: Ask children to write a sweet message in the message box and draw a portrait of themselves with their dads. Children can use a pencil or black marker to complete this step.

Step 4: Older kids can use scissors to cut out their colored ties. Younger children probably don’t have the fine motor skills to do this so they may need the help of an adult. There’s no dashed line so cut carefully around the outer border of your tie.

Step 5: Glue the father’s day tie card to a piece of colored construction paper. We used blue, yellow and green construction paper but you can use any color you like.

Step 6: Use scissors to cut around the father’s day tie card. Leave a 1cm border of your colored piece of paper around your tie.
