Step 3: Using a black marker or black pen have children fill in each paper tool with a sweet message for dad.

If they run out of room they can continue writing their father’s day message on the back of each tool. You can glue each tool to construction paper to make them more sturdy if you want. This is an optional step.

Step 4: Cut out the front and back of the toolbox in addition to the tools using scissors. Please note that it is important to keep the tabs on one face of the toolbox. Cut around the dotted lines to keep the tabs on the left, right and bottom of your toolbox.

Step 5: Fold the toolbox tabs along the dotted lines and spread glue on each folded tab so you can glue on the other side of the toolbox. The goal is to create a toolbox pocket to hold your paper tools.
