Using our free printable template, some glue, and colorful construction paper, kids can create their own Earth day craft while learning about our beautiful planet.

It’s an easy, hands-on Earth day activity that builds fine motor skills and sparks creativity—perfect for home or the classroom!

Supplies

Here’s what you’ll need to make this adorable torn paper Earth craft:

  • Earth Day template – Grab your free printable at the bottom of this post!
  • Cardstock paper – Blue for the Earth background and white for the eyes and mouth.
  • Green construction paper – Perfect for creating those landmasses.
  • Glue – A glue stick or school glue works great!
  • Scissors – Safety scissors for little crafters.
  • Red or pink marker – To bring the heart eyes and smile to life!

Instructions

Print the Template – Grab our free Earth Day template and print it on sturdy cardstock. Use blue cardstock for the first page (water) and white cardstock for the second (eyes and mouth). Then, cut out the Earth shape.

Tear & Glue – Rip small pieces of green construction paper and glue them onto the landmasses. No need to be perfect—the torn edges add fun texture!

Add the Details – Use a red or pink marker to color in the heart eyes and mouth. Then, glue them in place to give your Earth a cheerful, smiling face!
