Print the Template
Print the apple lacing craft on cardstock. You’ll need one sheet of colored cardstock for the apple and one sheet of white cardstock for the stem, leaf, and worm.

Optional: Print everything on white cardstock and let kids color in the apple using crayons, markers, or colored pencils.

Cut Out the Apple
Using safety scissors, have children carefully cut out the apple shape.

Create the Lacing Holes
Use a pencil to poke through each marked hole. Then, carefully widen the holes using scissors or a hole punch.

Decorate and Cut Accessories
Color the stem, leaf, and worm using crayons, markers, or colored pencils. Then cut them out with scissors.

Assemble the Apple
Glue the stem and leaf to the top of the apple. Gently push the worm through one of the lacing holes so it looks like it’s crawling out.

Lace with Yarn
Cut a piece of yarn about 36 inches long. Begin weaving the yarn through the holes in a zig-zag pattern to create a fun design. Continue lacing until you’ve used the entire length.

Secure the Yarn
Use a small piece of tape to attach the end of the craft yarn to the back of the apple and keep it in place.
