Instructions

Print the Apple Template – Download and print the apple template found at the bottom of this post.

Cut Out the Apple Shape – Carefully cut out the apple shape from the cardstock. Then, cut out the inside of the apple to create a frame, leaving the ½-inch border all the way around.

Prepare the Contact Paper – Cut two pieces of clear contact paper slightly larger than the apple frame. Peel the backing off one sheet and place it sticky side up on your work surface.

Place the Apple Frame – Position the cardstock apple frame onto the sticky side of the contact paper.

Add Tissue Paper – Tear or cut tissue paper into small pieces. Stick the tissue paper inside the apple frame, covering the open space completely. Overlapping colors adds a beautiful stained-glass effect.

Seal the Suncatcher – Once the tissue paper is in place, press the second sheet of contact paper over the top—sticky side down—to seal everything inside.

Trim the Edges – Carefully trim the excess contact paper around the outside of the apple frame for a clean finish.

Display Your Suncatcher – Hang your finished apple suncatcher in a sunny window and watch the fall colors glow!
