Pumpkin Wagon Name Craft
We had so much fun making this pumpkin wagon name craft!
It’s the perfect fall activity for preschoolers, kindergarteners, and early elementary kids who are learning to recognize and spell their names.
Using our free printable template, children can color in a cute wagon and add just the right number of pumpkins to spell out their name.
This pumpkin wagon name craft is a simple, hands-on craft that combines autumn fun with early literacy skills—great for home, school, or a fall-themed classroom activity!
Supplies

- Pumpkin Wagon Template – Download the free printable PDF at the bottom of this blog post.
- White Cardstock – We recommend Neenah bright white cardstock for best durability.
- Coloring Tools – Use markers, colored pencils, crayons, or even acrylic paint pens for bold, vibrant colors.
- Scissors – Child-safe scissors work well for little hands.
- Glue Stick or White Glue – For assembling the pumpkins onto the wagon.
- Black Marker or Sharpie – Perfect for writing one letter of your child’s name on each pumpkin.
Instructions

Print the Template – Download and print the free pumpkin wagon name craft template on white cardstock. You’ll need one wagon and enough pumpkins to spell your child’s name (plus a few extras just in case).
Color the Pieces – Use crayons, markers, colored pencils, or paint pens to decorate the wagon and pumpkins. Encourage kids to get creative with fall colors!
Write the Letters – Use a black marker or Sharpie to write one letter of your child’s name on each pumpkin. Make sure the letters are large and easy to read.
Cut Out the Shapes – Carefully cut out the wagon and each pumpkin. Young kids may need help with this step.
Assemble the Craft – Glue the wagon onto a fresh sheet of cardstock or construction paper as a background. Then, glue the pumpkins in a row above or inside the wagon to spell out your child’s name.
Let It Dry – Allow the glue to fully dry before displaying the craft.
