Supplies You’ll Need
To make your own adorable astronaut photo craft, here’s what you’ll need:
- Astronaut template – available at the bottom of this post
- White cardstock – for a sturdy finished product. My go-to is Neenah White
- Coloring tools – crayons, markers, acrylic paint pens or colored pencils
- A 4 x 4 inch photo of your child
- Scissors and glue – for cutting and assembling
- Black marker or sharpie – to write the child’s name is big bold letters
Instructions
1. Print the template – Print the astronaut template on white cardstock for best results.
2. Color the template – Use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to color in the astronaut suit, helmet, and name circles.
3. Cut out the astronaut, photo frame, and name circles
Carefully cut along the lines to remove the astronaut, the round photo frame, and each individual letter circle.
4. Use the photo frame to trace the photo – Place the round photo frame on top of a 4 x 4 inch photo of your child’s face. Trace around it, then cut out the circle.
5. Glue the round cut photo into the helmet space – Position the photo inside the helmet and glue it in place so your child’s face is in the center of the helmet.
6. Glue the letters on – Finally, glue the name circles across the astronaut’s chest to personalize your little space explorer!
