Print the Template – Start by printing a copy of our free flower pot template (you’ll find the download link at the bottom of this post). Print the first page on colored cardstock for the pot, and the second page on white cardstock for the flower, stem, and leaves.

Color the Pieces – Grab your favorite crayons, markers, or colored pencils and let the creativity flow! Kids can color in the flower, leaves, and stem any way they’d like—there’s no wrong way to make this sweet keepsake.

Cut Everything Out – Once the coloring is done, carefully cut out all the pieces: the flower pot, flower, stem, leaves, and the circle template.

Prepare the Photo – Use the circle template to trace around a small photo of your child. Carefully cut out the photo to fit right in the center of the flower.

Assemble the Flower Pot – Using a small dab of glue:

  • Attach the stem to the back of the flower pot.
  • Glue the flower to the top of the stem.
  • Add the leaves to either side of the stem.
  • Finally, place the photo right in the middle of the flower to complete this precious bloom.
