Craft Supplies
Our easy spider craft uses very basic supplies that you can pick up at the dollar store. Here is what you’ll need:
- black and white cardstock paper or construction paper
- scissors – we love these semi-blunt tip scissors for little hands. They offer a comfort grip a child’s hands while they practice cutting.
- glue stick
- googly eyes (optional) – if you’re making this with very small children and toddlers you can opt to use googly eyes instead of making your own.
How To Make An Easy Spider Craft
Create spiders legs by cutting small rectangles out of black paper. In total you should have 8 legs that are approximately the same length. Fold the tops of the legs to give your easy spider craft some dimension.
Fold a black piece of paper in half and cut out a circle. Fold it in half to create the spiders body. This will also give your spider the stability it needs to stand and rock.
Create the spider’s eyes. First, cut 2 large circles in white paper and then 2 smaller circles in black. Glue them together to create spider eyes. You can also use self-adhesive googly eyes if you would prefer.
Glue the eyes to the front of your spiders body.
Using a glue stick, glue the legs onto the back of the spider. Adjust and fold the legs to your preference.
