Mother’s Day Handprint Craft
This Mother’s Day handprint craft is a fun and meaningful activity for kids of all ages!
With our free template, children can create their own adorable flower planter craft using their handprint.
To make it even more special, they can add a heartfelt message about why they love Mom. It’s a keepsake craft she’ll cherish forever!
Supplies
Template – Grab your free copy of the Mother’s Day handprint craft template at the very bottom of this post.
Cardstock – You’ll need one color for the flowerpot, a sheet of green for the handprint (stem), and white for the flowers.
Markers, colored pencils, or crayons – Perfect for decorating the flowers with bright and cheerful colors.
Scissors – For cutting out the template pieces.
Glue – To assemble all the parts of your handprint flower craft.
Pencil – For tracing your child’s hand.
Black marker or Sharpie – For writing a heartfelt message to Mom.
Instructions
1️⃣ Print the Template – Print page 1 (the planter) on colored cardstock, and page 2 (the flowers) on white cardstock or paper.
2️⃣ Trace the Handprint – Trace the child’s hand on green cardstock or construction paper, then carefully cut it out with scissors.
3️⃣ Color the Flowers – Decorate the flowers using markers, colored pencils, or crayons in bright, happy colors.
4️⃣ Cut Out the Pieces – Cut out the planter and the flowers from the template.
5️⃣ Assemble the Craft – Glue the handprint to the back of the planter so the fingers stick up like flower stems.
6️⃣ Add the Flowers -Glue one flower to the tip of each finger.
7️⃣ Write a Message to Mom -Use a black marker, Sharpie, or pencil to write a few sweet reasons why you love Mom on the lines provided.
