I Love You To Pieces Card
My pre-k craft group was an inspiration for this cute love you to pieces card for Mother’s day.
Being only 3 and 4 years old, I needed to create a Mother’s day craft that was easy enough for them to make without frustration and tears.
What I came up with is this fun torn paper love you to pieces card that comes together using cardstock, glue and torn pieces of construction paper.
Cute and fun to make, this love you to pieces card is a heartwarming DIY mother’s day gift children as young as 3 can make to celebrate their Mom.
Supplies
- “Love You to Pieces” Card Template – Grab your free printable at the bottom of this post.
- Cardstock – Choose any color you like for printing the card template.
- Construction Paper – Tear into small pieces for the collage effect.
- Glue Stick – For attaching the paper pieces.
- Scissors – To trim the card.
Instructions
Step 1: Print the Love You to Pieces card template on your favorite color of cardstock.
Step 2: Carefully cut out the card along the scalloped edge. This is a great opportunity for little hands to practice fine motor skills!
Step 3: Tear construction paper into small pieces using a variety of colors. The more colors, the more fun!
Step 4: Apply a small amount of glue inside the heart shape, then stick the torn paper pieces in place. Keep adding pieces to create a colorful, textured collage that fills the entire heart.
