The fourth of July is a favorite holiday for many children across the United States.
Kids of all ages can celebrate the United States’ freedom with parties, BBQs, cookouts and fireworks.
It’s always loads of fun for kids and many look forward to it all year round.
So in honor of this special July holiday, we created an I Spy printable game that is a great way to make the 4th of July even more fun for kids.

What You Need
- a copy of our printable pdf file containing our 4th of July I Spy (the download link is located at the bottom of the page)
- color printer & good quality letter size card stock paper for printing
- markers, wax crayons, highlighters, pencils
- self-laminating sheets/plastic sheet protector and dry erase markers
How To Play
Our 4th of July I Spy activity is simple to play and is a spin off of the traditional I Spy with my little eye game we all played growing up.
Children have to use their visual discrimination skills to scan all the unique images and count how many of each type they find in the game grid.
They can make Xs, circle or strike out the images as they go to help them keep track.
Once they’ve got a total they can write the correct number in the appropriate spot at the bottom of the sheet!
There’s no better way to practice counting and sorting! Be sure to use our convenient answer key to check if your answers are correct when you’re done.
