Supplies
All our simple Christmas crafts require basic craft supplies that you either already have at home or will have an easy time finding at your local craft store or online via Amazon.
Here is what you’ll need to make this simple ornament craft for kids.
- Ornament template – the free printable template you’ll need to make this ornament craft for kids can be found at the very bottom of this post.
- Printer & white cardstock paper
- Markers, crayons, coloring pencils
- Glue stick or glue dots
- Hole punch
- A piece of yarn, twine or pipe cleaners to hang your special ornament once it’s complete
Instructions
Print a copy of our ornament craft template for kids and have children color and decorate own ornaments.
Our template includes 1 medium sized ornament in addition to decorative items children can use for decoration.
Encourage children to use their favorite colors to create unique ornaments.
Using scissors carefully cut out your Christmas ornament and decorative items.
Decorate your ornament craft for kids by using a little glue to stick the decorative items onto your ornaments. Kids can even use pom poms, glitter , felt and stickers to create their ornament. The more creative – the better!
Punch a small hole into the upper most part of the ornament craft for kids.
Thread a piece of twine or yarn through the hole to create a loop to display your ornament craft for kids.
