Instructions

Take your paper plate and paint it orange. Depending on what kind of paint you are using you may have to do a second coat to get a vibrant orange color.

If you are doing multiple coats make sure to let each coat dry for about 5 minutes before applying a new layer of paint.

Once you’ve completed painting your plate let it dry completely. Depending on the thickness of the paint this can take up to 30 minutes.

While you are waiting for your paint to dry start creating the crust for your pumpkin pie paper plate craft.

Take your brown construction paper and cut it into squares about 1 inch x 1 inch.

You’ll need enough brown squares to go around your pie plate.

Once the paint on the paper plate is dry, apply a thin line of glue around the outer edge of the plate. Or, you can glue the squares on one by one. Either method works fine.

Attach the brown construction paper squares around the edge of the plate, slightly overlapping them to resemble the crust of a pumpkin pie.

Press each square firmly to ensure they stick well to the plate. Allow the glue to dry for a few minutes.

Apply a few dots of glue to the center of the painted paper plate.

Arrange the cotton balls on the glued area to represent the whipped cream topping of your pumpkin pie.

Press the cotton balls down gently to ensure they adhere to the plate. Allow the glue to dry completely.
