When I was a kid, I remember sitting at the kids’ table with my cousins and siblings to celebrate Thanksgiving.
We have a big family. So, the adults would sit at the big Thanksgiving table while the kids would sit together at the kid’s table where we’d color and play games while we enjoyed our Thanksgiving feast.
In honor of that, I created these free printable Thanksgiving placemats for kids to start new traditions for my own family this Thanksgiving.
The idea is that kids of all ages can enjoy our free Thanksgiving placemats in honor of Thanksgiving.
These Thanksgiving placemats are a simple way to keep young children busy at the holiday table.
They are a fun way to engage even the littlest guests in a variety of screen free Thanksgiving activities while the whole family enjoys their holiday meal.

Thanksgiving Placemats
Our printable Thanksgiving placemats for kids were created to be printed A2 paper. So, most people will not be able to print the placemats on a home printer.
I went to a local print shop and had my Thanksgiving placemats printed – each sheet created 16.5 x 23.4 inch placemats. These printable Thanksgiving placemats for kids are BIG!
You can also print the Thanksgiving placemats on regular printer paper if your prefer. But, doing it this way shrinks down all the imagery and activities. It’s still very useable but just not as big.
Each of our printable placemats were created with a variety of different Thanksgiving activities including the following:
- Thanksgiving themed word search with popular Thanksgiving words and vocabulary
- Thankful activities for children to list what they are most thankful for
- Tic tac toe for a couple of rounds of our favorite paper and pencil game
- Coloring imagery including a turkey and a variety of delicious foods that are popular around Thanksgiving
- A Thanksgiving maze where children have to help a pilgrim find his way out
Supplies
- A2 size paper – you can also print this on regular size paper but the placemat will be far smaller
- Box of crayons, washable markers, dry erase markers – only use a dry-erase marker if you laminate your Thanksgiving coloring placemats
- Laminator or self-laminating sheets – a smart idea if you want to reuse our printable Thanksgiving placemats for kids.
