Love You Berry Much Card
This “I Love You Berry Much” card was such a fun project to make with my craft group for Mother’s Day!
Our 4- and 5-year-olds especially loved using their handprints to create the strawberry shape—it really brings this handprint craft to life.
Made with cardstock, paint, and glue, this handprint strawberry card is a sweet and thoughtful gift that moms will absolutely cherish.
Supplies
- Berry Card Template – Grab your free copy at the bottom of this post.
- Cardstock – We recommend using Neenah White cardstock. It’s our go-to for sturdy, high-quality craft projects.
- Red Paint – Any washable red or dark pink paint will work perfectly for creating the strawberry.
- Markers, Colored Pencils, or Crayons – Use these to color the strawberry stem and decorate the card’s border.
- Scissors – For cutting out the card and template pieces.
- Glue – To assemble your handprint strawberry card.
- Black marker or sharpie – to draw seeds on your strawberry handprint.
Instructions
Step 1: Print the strawberry handprint card template on high-quality cardstock for best results.
Step 2: Paint your child’s hand with red paint and press it firmly onto the space provided on the card. Make sure their palm is at the top and fingers point downward—this will form the strawberry shape. Set the card aside to dry completely.
Step 3: Once dry, color in the strawberry’s stem using a green marker, colored pencil, or crayon.
Step 4: Carefully cut out the stem and eyes from the template using scissors.
Step 5: Add a dab of glue to attach the stem to the top of the handprint strawberry. Then, glue on the eyes to give your strawberry a fun little face.
Step 6: Use a black marker or Sharpie to draw a happy smile, and don’t forget to add some strawberry seeds across the handprint to bring your berry to life!
Step 7: Finally, color in the border of the card to add a personal touch, then cut it out to complete your adorable handprint strawberry card.
