Cauldron Name Craft
With Halloween quickly approaching, we had so much fun making this cauldron name craft as a festive activity to get everyone excited for the spooky season.
My craft group absolutely LOVED this project! It’s such a playful and creative way for kids to make their very own little cauldrons — complete with funny, wiggly witch legs sticking out the top.
The kids had a blast decorating their cauldrons and adding their names, making each one totally unique and full of personality.
This name craft is perfect for Halloween parties, classroom activities, or just a cozy afternoon at home where imaginations can run wild with the excitement of Halloween.
Supplies
Supplies You’ll Need:
- Cauldron template – You can grab our free printable template to make our cauldron name craft at the very bottom of this blog post.
- White cardstock – Sturdy paper works best for cutting and gluing all the pieces together. Our go-to is Neenah white paper.
- Coloring tools – Crayons, markers, or colored pencils work great for decorating the witch legs and shoes.
- Scissors – For cutting out the cauldron, name bubble, and other pieces.
- Glue – A glue stick or school glue will do the trick.
- Black Sharpie – Perfect for writing names and adding bold details.
Instructions
Print the Template – Print the cauldron template onto white cardstock. This will give your craft a sturdy base.
Color the Cauldron and Bubbles – Use your favorite coloring tools to decorate the cauldron, bubbles, and witch legs. Get creative with colors—make your potion look magical!
Cut Out All the Pieces – Carefully cut out the cauldron, bubbles, and silly witch legs. Younger kids might need help with this step.
Write Your Name – Use a black Sharpie to write one letter of your name on each bubble. Make sure the letters are big and easy to read!
Glue the Name Bubbles
Arrange the bubbles on the rim of the cauldron in the correct order to spell out then name. Then, glue them in place.
Let It Dry & Display
Once everything is glued down, let your craft dry. Hang it up to show off your spooky Halloween name art!
