This easy witch craft for kids is such a great non-scary Halloween idea for children of all ages.

Made with construction paper, glue and our free printable witch template, this simple craft is a fun Halloween activity for classrooms or home crafters.

Cute and fun to make, this easy witch craft also works on good stuff like fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Children of all ages will proudly want to display their completed paper witches.

Finished crafts can be used to decorate bulletin boards, classroom doors or even your home in honor of Halloween.

Craft Supplies

Here are the simple supplies you’ll need to make this easy witch craft for Halloween.

  • Witch template – the free template you’ll need to make your own witch craft is located at the bottom of this post. 
  • Printer and white paper 
  • Construction paper or cardstock– you’ll need black, orange, purple, green and white.
  • Black marker
  • Glue stick or double-sided tape
  • Scissors – we love these blunt tip scissors for little hands. They offer a comfort grip a child’s hands while they practice cutting.
  • Googly Eyes (optional) – if you’re making this with younger kids and toddlers you can opt to use googly eyes instead of making your own. 

How To Make An Easy Witch Craft

Step 1: Download and print our free witch template. To download the pdf file you’ll need to head to the very bottom of this blog post. Cut out the different parts of the easy witch craft including the witch’s hair, eyebrows and hat.

Step 2: Trace each part of the witch craft onto the corresponding color of construction paper or card stock.

Trace the hat on purple, the hair or orange and the eyebrows on black paper.

To make the witch’s face cut out a green circle and then cut it in half. Free hand 2 circles from the white paper to make the witch’s eyes.

Step 3: Glue the witch’s hat to the top of her face.

Step 4: Glue the hair to the back of the witch’s head on the left and right side of her hat.

Step 5: Glue the witch’s eyebrows and eyes to her face like we did above. If you prefer you could also use large self- adhesive googly eyes.

Step 6: Using a black marker draw a mouth on the witch and then draw black pupils.
