Our cute Halloween coloring pages for kids are a fun and easy way to boost Halloween spirit.
This small bundle of coloring sheets for Halloween comes with a haunted house, Frankenstein, vampire and witch.
Kids of all ages will enjoy coloring these during the Halloween season.
Halloween Coloring Pages
Coloring is one of our favorite screen free activities.
In fact, my daughter and I pick up our pencil crayons nearly every night as a fun (and effective!) way to unwind before bed.
So, with Halloween right around the corner I created these cute Halloween coloring pages for us to enjoy throughout the spooky season.
What we love most about coloring is how easy coloring is to do.
We set ourselves up at the kitchen table, pull out our box of coloring pencils and spend time chatting and being creative.
It’s an easy way to get children to talk about their school day!
Unlike crafts and other activities that take a little prep work, coloring is a great spur of the moment activity or pass-time for children of virtually any age.
You’re never too old to color. 😊
What You’ll Get
Each downloadable pdf file comes with 4 cute Halloween coloring pages for kids.
Each coloring page prints on standard size 8.5 x 11 paper.
We printed on 65 lb cardstock to make our Halloween coloring pages more sturdy because we are planning to use them as part of our Halloween decor this year.
You can also use regular copy paper if you prefer. Either type works just fine.
In your digital bundle you will receive:
- A haunted house set on a starry night
- A vampire boy wishing you a Happy Halloween
- A witch holding her broom
- A large Frankenstein
Benefits of Coloring
My teacher brain needs to tell you all the ways that coloring is amazing and how it helps our kiddos.
From practicing fine motor skills to getting kids to talk about their feelings and experiences, coloring is such an important activity for kids.
If you’re in a rush and want to skip straight to the download, scroll to the bottom of this post.
Otherwise, let me tell you why we LOVE coloring.
Fine Motor Skills
Coloring plays a vital role in improving a child’s fine motor skills.
While they grip pencils, markers or wax crayons they are working towards mastering the art of coloring within the lines which requires hand-eye co-ordination and precision.
Creativity
Creativity is at the core of coloring. As children make decisions about colors and where they want to use in them in the picture they are expressing their creativity and decision making skills.
The freedom coloring provides allows children to experiment with different types of coloring tools and coloring techniques.
All this encourages creative thinking and exploring new ideas.
Encourages Relaxation
Coloring is a wonderful way to help kids relax and unwind. Research shows that coloring has the same relaxing effect as meditation.
While children concentrate on coloring they begin to focus more on their art than their worries making it a great way to help with anxiety.
Encourages Self-Expression
As children color they use colors in their artwork to express their thoughts and feelings.
By doing this, especially young children are given the opportunity to process their feelings and emotions which is vital to creating healthy coping mechanisms as they grow older.
