How to Make Your Turkey Name Craft

Turkey Name Craft

Color the Turkey Body

Start by coloring the turkey’s body with crayons, markers, or colored pencils.

Encourage kids to be creative – turkeys don’t have to be just brown!

Trace, Cut, and Glue the Feathers

Use the feather template to trace onto colored paper if you want extra colors.

Carefully cut out each feather (help younger kids as needed).

Glue the feathers onto the turkey’s body, fanning them out to create a colorful tail. Remember that at a minimum you’ll need as many feathers as letters in the child’s name.

Spell the Name on the Feathers

Use the name circles from the printable to spell your child’s name across the feathers. Use a black marker to write each letter in a circle then cute them out.

Arrange the letters in any order you like, and glue them onto the feathers.

Add Extra Decorations (Optional)

Add stickers, glitter, or patterns to make your turkey unique and festive.

Display your finished turkey on the fridge, a bulletin board, or as part of a Thanksgiving centerpiece.
