  • Plastic forks – One for each shade of green to keep the colors nice and crisp.

Instructions

Print the two-page shamrock template on high-quality white cardstock—we used 110 lb ultra-white cardstock for durability. Then, carefully cut out the shamrock shapes with scissors.

If you are crafting with especially young children you may want to help them with this step.

Cover your work surface with newspaper or a plastic tablecloth to keep things mess-free. Squeeze a small amount of green paint onto a paper plate—we used our favorite Shuttle Art Acrylic paint set in green and grass green for a vibrant look.

Dip a plastic fork into the paint, then press it onto the shamrock template to create a layered, textured effect that makes your shamrock look vibrant and unique! Let the paint dry completely before applications to prevent the colors from mixing together.

Craft Tip * To speed up drying time, use a hair dryer on the cool setting between paint layers.

Carefully cut out the eyes and mouth from the second page of the shamrock template. Use a red or pink marker to color in the mouth, then apply a small amount of glue to attach the eyes and mouth to your shamrock.
