Shamrock Name Craft For Kids

Get ready for some St. Patrick’s Day fun with this adorable shamrock name craft!

Perfect for preschool and kindergarten kids, this hands-on name craft activity lets little ones practice writing their while getting creative.

With our free template, a little glue, and some colorful markers, children can design their very own personalized shamrock craft to celebrate St. Patrick’s day in a fun and festive way!

Supplies

  • Free Shamrock Template – you can download the pdf file containing the template at the bottom of this blog post.
  • Green & White Cardstock – we recommend using 100lb cardstock for a really sturdy craft
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick – for easy, mess-free sticking
  • Markers or Colored Pencils – to decorate and personalize the shamrock name craft

Instructions

Print and Cut the Shamrock

Start by printing the shamrock template on green cardstock. Carefully cut out the shamrock shape.

Prepare the Name Box

Print the second page of the template on white cardstock. Write your name in the name box, then cut it out. Use a glue stick to attach it to the center of your shamrock.

Add the Face

Cut out the eyes and mouth from the template. Glue them onto your shamrock to bring it to life! We used a red marker to color in the tongue!

Color and Attach the Bow

Use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to color the bow in your favorite color. If making a boy’s craft, glue the bow as a bow tie at the bottom of the shamrock. For a girl’s craft, place it at the top as a hair bow.
