Easy Torn Paper Shamrock Craft
Get ready for some St. Patrick’s Day fun with this easy torn paper shamrock craft!
Kids will love tearing, gluing, and creating their own textured shamrock masterpiece.
With just a few simple supplies and our free template, this hands-on activity is perfect for little crafters.
It’s a great way to celebrate the holiday while working on fine motor skills and creativity.
Supplies
- Shamrock template – you can download a copy of the free shamrock template you’ll need to make this torn paper shamrock craft at the very bottom of this blog post
- Cardstock in your color choice for printing the template
- Construction paper in different shades of green
- Glue stick
- Googly eyes (optional)
- Pink or red marker
- Scissors
- Sharpie acrylic creative markers (optional)
Instructions
Print a copy of our free shamrock template on cardstock in your choice of color. Our torn paper shamrock craft was printed on orange and blue cardstock – but, any color paper will work.
Tear up green construction paper or cardstock into small pieces. You can opt to use green construction paper in a variety of shades to create dimension. Using glue, stick the pieces all over the shamrock shape.
Using a small amount of glue, stick a set of extra large googly eyes onto your shamrock or use the printed eyes that come in the craft file.
Using a red or pink marker color in the mouth, cut it out and glue it to the shamrock to create a smile.
Using an acrylic paint pen color the small shamrocks to make your craft pop.
Let your torn paper shamrock craft dry completely before displaying it.
