Easy Halloween Cat Craft
If you didn’t know it already, we absolutely LOVE Halloween. So, we’ve been busy creating loads of not-so scary Halloween crafts and activities for young kids to enjoy during the month of October.
Today, we’re excited to add this cute Halloween cat craft to our ever growing collection of Halloween crafts for kids.
This fun Halloween cat craft is simple to make: you’ll need our free printable cat template, construction paper and glue.
What we love most about this easy Halloween cat craft is that it works on the good stuff – fine motor and hand-eye co-ordination.

Craft Supplies
Here are the simple supplies you’ll need to make this Halloween cat craft.
- Cat template – the free template you’ll need to make your own Halloween cat craft is located at the bottom of this post. Fill in the form and we will email your the download link.
- Printer and white paper
- Construction paper or cardstock– you’ll need black, purple, pink and yellow
- Glue stick or double-sided tape
- Scissors – we love these blunt tip scissors for little hands. They offer a comfort grip a child’s hands while they practice cutting.
- Googly Eyes (optional) – if you’re making this with younger kids and toddlers you can opt to use googly eyes instead of making your own.
How To Make A Halloween Cat Craft
Step 1: Print a copy of our free cat template. To download the pdf file you’ll need to fill in the form at the bottom of this post. We’ll send you a link to the file by email.
Cut out the various parts of the cat template including the cat’s head and ears.
Step 2: Trace the head and ears on construction paper and cut them out. Freehand 2 yellow circles and 2 black pupils like we did above.
Step 3: Fold the purple paper in half and cut out a circle. Cut the circle in half to create a semi-circle.
Step 4: Cut out 2 circles from black paper to create the cat’s paws.
Step 5: Glue the cats paws to the front and the cat’s head to the back of the purple semi-circle.
Step 6: Cut out a small circle in pink to create the cat’s nose.
Step 7: Glue the pink part of the ears to the black to create the cat’s ears. And, glue the yellow part of the eyes to the black to create the cat’s eyes.
Step 8: Glue the cat’s eyes, ears and nose to the cat’s face to complete your Halloween cat craft.
