Craft Supplies
- Santa hat printable template pdf file – the cute hat template you’ll need to make this art activity can be found at the very bottom of this blog post. Each digital file comes with an outline of Santa’s hat in addition to letters for kids to use to spell their name.
- Printer and white card stock
- Red crayon, marker or coloring pencil
- Cotton balls or white pom poms
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Instructions
Step 1: Print a copy of our Santa hat printable in pdf format. The printable pdf resource file you’ll need to make this enjoyable craft activity can be found at the very bottom of this blog post.
Step 2: Using a red marker, crayon or coloring pencil color have children color in the Santa hat printable.
Step 3: Using safety scissors have children cut out their Santa hat printable.
Step 4: Give each child a copy of the letters and have them cut out the letter squares in anticipation of spelling their names.
As they cut out the squares they are working on their scissor skills!
Step 5: Children need to find the letters they will need to spell their name and glue them on to the white brim of their Santa hat printable.
Step 6: Glue a white cotton ball or pom pom to finish the Santa hat printable craft.
Step 7: Display the Santa hat name crafts at home or in the classroom. We suggest gluing the Santa hat printable crafts to a construction paper backing before hanging them.
