Torn Paper Snowflake Craft
During a recent snow day in the Northeast, we had so much fun making this torn paper snowflake craft!
With the snow falling outside, this torn paper art was the perfect indoor activity to keep little hands busy and engaged.
This simple, low-prep craft is a fantastic way to strengthen fine motor skills while encouraging creativity.
Kids use their fingers to tear and arrange pieces of construction paper, designing their own unique snowflakes—just like the ones falling from the sky.

Supplies
- Snowflake template – get the free template you’ll need to make this torn paper snowflake craft at the bottom of this post
- Blue cardstock
- Construction paper
- Glue stick
- White paint pen
Instructions
Print a copy of the snowflake template on blue cardstock paper. You can download the file in pdf format at the very bottom of this post.
Tear white construction paper into small pieces. Then, using a small amount of glue, cover the snowflake shape by layering the torn paper pieces until it’s completely filled.
Use a white acrylic paint pen to add delicate snowflake designs across your torn paper snowflake craft to make it pop.
Let your torn paper snowflake craft dry completely before displaying it.
