Torn Paper Lovebirds Craft
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and we wanted to add this fun torn paper lovebirds craft to our growing collection of easy torn paper craft ideas for kids.
Made with simple materials and our free printable template, kids of all ages will enjoy creating their own unique lovebirds for Valentine’s Day.
Plus, this charming craft helps develop fine motor skills as children use their fingers to rip and arrange paper pieces to create their masterpiece.
Supplies
- Lovebirds template – to download the template you’ll need to make this torn paper lovebirds craft scroll to the very bottom of this blog post.
- Cardstock paper – you can use any color you would like for your background. We went with red!
- Construction paper in Valentine’s day colors
- Glue stick
- Washable markers, crayons or coloring pencils
Instructions
Print the first page of our lovebirds template on your color choice of cardstock. Print the second page on white cardstock.
Tear up pink construction paper into small pieces. Then, use a small amount of glue and stick the pieces all over the lovebirds.
Cut out the lovebirds eyes and glue them on.
Using your choice of colored marker color the lovebirds wings. Then, cut them out and stick them on.
Color the heart outlines in a variety of different Valentine’s day colors. Then, cut them out and stick them onto your craft.
Let your torn paper lovebird craft dry completely.
