Newspaper Lion Craft For Kids

Crafting with old newspapers is something we love doing around here. From creating zebras and pandas to owls and even koala’s we’ve already created a variety of different kids crafts using old newspapers.

So, today we’re very excited to add a newspaper lion craft to our collection.

This fun and easy torn newspaper lion craft uses basic materials including construction paper and glue. Children work on their fine motor skills when cutting and gluing to create their very own lion.

Tear or cut old newspaper into small pieces. Apply glue and attach the torn newspaper all over the lion’s face. It’s perfectly fine if the newspaper extends beyond the edges of the template.

Use scissors to trim any excess newspaper that extends beyond the edges of the lion template. If you’re crafting with very young children, you may need to assist them with this step.

Tip: Flip the lion’s face over and trim from the back to make it easier to cut along the edges of the template.
