Stamped Rainbow Fish Craft

Are you ready to make a splash with a fun and colorful craft?

Little kids will have a blast transforming ordinary carrot sticks into stamping tools for a vibrant rainbow fish masterpiece!

With our free printable fish template, some paint, and a handful of carrot sticks, young children can create their very own underwater friend bursting with color.

What You’ll Need

  • rainbow fish template – you can download the free printable fish template you need to make this craft at the very bottom of this post.
  • cardstock paper – we recommend printing on a minimum of 65lbs cardstock. We used 110 lb to make sure the paint didn’t bleed through.
  • washable craft paint in a variety of colors
  • paper plate
  • carrot sticks
  • googly eye
  • gluestick
  • scissors

Instructions

Print a copy of the free stamped rainbow fish craft template on high quality card stock paper. The thicker the paper the better for this craft since the paint will bleed through.

Cut up carrot sticks for kids to use to stamp the fish fins with. Have kids alternate colors as they stamp to create a rainbow fish.

Using glue, stick a googly eye onto your fish.

Let your stamped rainbow fish craft dry completely before cutting out.
